iis security : IIS Event ID 100

Hi,

I am experiencing a weird problem with IIS 5.0. I created
a virtual directory under our primary website and only
allowed access using Basic authenication. The thing is
most users can login just fine but there are a hand full
of users that can not login at all. I have tried changing
the permissions in the folders and still no luck. Here is
the error message I get in the Event Viewer:

////
The server was unable to logon the Windows NT
account 'XXUser' due to the following error: Logon
failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon
type at this computer. The data is the error code.
///

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any help is
greatly appreciated.

Hello,
For Basic authentication to work, the users must have the Logon Locally
right on the IIS server. To check this go to Admin Tools-> Local Security
Policy-> Security Settings-> Local Policies-> User rights assigment. Ensure
that both the local and effective settings (from the DC) are enabled for
the user account(s).
