iis security : Reinstalling IIS and Security Patches

I just uninstalled/reinstalled IIS 5.0 on my Win2K
machine. I thought I had a virus problem - web server kept
hanging when being started or stopped, but it looks like
it was just a conflict with Norton Personal Firewall
(recently installed) and IIS. So I probably didn't need to
uninstall.

But anyhow, now that I've reinstalled from the original
Win2K CD, I was wondering whether I need to worry about re-
installing any security patches or updates to IIS.

WindowsUpdate.com still says I'm cool, but I'm not sure if
it is smart enough to detect that I reinstalled IIS?

TIA,

Chuck,

Your best bet is to use either MBSA or HFNetChk :
