Hello

I have recently used "tracert" on various websites and
have noticed that the first 5 lines on all are the same
which i believe is right. However, from there, they all
differ. Except one which on lines 6 & 7 has the same IP
addresses as my websites (exactly the same)... I am sure
this is not right, but the concern is hightened by the
fact that the website in question belongs to somebody i
worked with and who had access to this computer in the
past.

Is it possible my computer or internet has been tampered
with or is this just coincidence.

I have the details of the tracert if it helps

Please help .... im starting to become paranoid !!!

Thank you

This sounds fine to me. When you drive from your house, you probably travel
down the same roads through the first few intersections for just about any
end destination, but at some point a few roads into the trip, the roads
start to vary. The first few hops might all belong to your ISP where there
might be just one default path for your access, and then you get beyond your
ISP and out to the internet where things vary.

Going to http://visualroute.visualware.com might be helpful.
