iis security:
You can also use SelfSSL from the IIS6 Resource Kit, which automatically
configures a self-signed certificate so that you can do SSL testing. Since
it isn't signed by a trusted CA (like Verisign, Thawte, etc), browsers will
complain about its identity, but it should be sufficient to "quickly get SSL
working" on a machine by running a single command.

Furthermore, in the case where you control the client and the server, secure
communication using SSL is free when you use SelfSSL.

Installing a certificate Newbie Justin Dutoit

Hey. I'm new to SSL, and I'm trying to get and install a digital certificate
to get SSL working. I'm developing ASP.NET using localhost, so both the
client and the server are on my win2k machiine. Could someone explain, step
by step, how to get and install a certificate. I fumbled through the first
part and got several .cer files from Thawte, but I don't know the next
steps.

Thanks for any help
