New SSL Certificate is invalid after uninstalling Certificate Server

New SSL Certificate is invalid after uninstalling Certificate Server gary NO[at]SPAM garyritz.com

iis security: Hello,

I was in the process of setting up an SSL web site on IIS 6.0 on
Windows 2003 Server. I mistakenly installed Certificate Services
thinking it was needed. I removed it but now when I try to install
the valid certificate from Thawte it shows up invalid because it lists
the issuer of the certificate as the name I entered when I installed
Certificate Server on the machine by mistake. Has anyone out there

We were using it on another machine, we exported it to a file from
there and imported it onto the new server. On the new server, it
comes up invalid and it says the issuer is our company, not Thawte.

Now, on the original server, do the new thwate cert working?
you using cert mmc to export the cert file ? in pfx format ?
double click it to see the detail, is that the correct cert?

how do you install to the new machine ? the store path is
local computer ?
