My organization is moving from IIS 5 on a Windows 2000 server to a new
Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6. My plan was to use the IIS Migration tool,
however, higher ups have decdided to basically recreate the sites on the 2003
server and copy the inetpub info from the 2000 server to the 2003 server.
Therefore, we can keep the sites running on the 2000 server and internally
test the 2003 box before we make the DNS changes with our ISP. Has anyone

Works fine. Most of my migrations are this type, since the migration
tools lack some things peculiar to my setup. Note that I'm not
migrating 6,000 sites across 24 servers on a weekend... :)
