IIS Integrated / Digest Authentication failure issue -- iis security

Hello,
I have a w2k3 server with IIS6 running a website and a Sharepoint service
site. I can log into the web or the SPS site with basic authentication turned
on but if I turn on Interegrated or Digest I fail any attempt at
authentication from a Windows 2000 Workstation in the the domain,
I can authenticate from a XP workstation inside or outside of the domain (
passing FQD credentials from another trusted domain) and from other W2k3
Servers inside or outside the domain. just not from Windows 2000 box's. I
have turned on the integrated selection inside the 2000 IE options as
suggested for upgraded systems.

Yep I have the same problem. Very frustratinging. Anything to do with Windows
2000 will create the http- 500 failure after accepting the credentials. Its
like a component is missing.

We have 80% win2k desktops in our organisation, to move forward its either -
upgrade to Win XP, implement basic Authenication, or use Firefox .... Surely
it must be easier then this.

Any ideas will be appricated
