Looking for some opinions on the FQDN for my SSL pages.

My main site is accessed as:
http://www.pistoleer.com or http://pistoleer.com

Some options for the secure pages include,
https://www.pistoleer.com
https://pistoleer.com
https://secure.pistoleer.com
https://protected.pistoleer.com
https://ssl.pistoleer.com
others...

Like to hear you opinion on this matter, or what you have done for your
site(s).

I've considered that, but GeoTrust does not support wildcard SSL. GeoTrust
is much cheaper that the other big two alternatives.

Even if I could use the wildcard, I would eventally need to decide on what
to use for that particular site.

PS: The site is currently not running on my server. The company BizLand has
not been too reliable, one of the reasons I'm setting up my own server.

I am looking to setup a SSL Cert also for my OWA (Outlook Web Access), but
the problem that I am having is getting the cert name (external) to work
with my intranet domain name (which's varies a bit from the Public FQDN).

I want mail.enviro-asmnt.com to be the FQDN, but the intranet default
website DNS name is elaine.office.enviro-asmnt.
So I get this security alert when I try to access the page. I just want to
have the cert installed on the clients computer after they access the page
the first time.
I am sorry if this does not make any sense.

You can try wildcard SSL. like the one you are running *.bizland.com

My suggestion

a) get one that support wildcard ssl (instantssl ?)
b) get only 'those' needed cert from geotrust.
