We are running II6 and some imp sites Hosted on it and some one hacked those sites and send it some samples of those sites by email, so can anyone help us how to secure the IIS6 and trace the hacker.

Were you running a firewall or anything that would had created a log o
those that connected to the server? If so you may need to view thes
logs for things that may look like "hacker" activity. This woul
include a wide range of scanning and whatnot to look for vulernablitie
in the server. With that said, after this you will have the IP. Thi
will show you the ISP of the person and you can report it (unless i
was through a proxy, but you can contack a wide range of people to d
this).

71% of the hacks happen inside the corporate means behind
the firewall as most of the security industry has analysed
and observed it. I would consider this in a bigger
proportion
