iis security : Can't get rid of certificate message

I can not get rid of a message that keeps popping up on
my screen when I try to go to a website.

It comes up as a "Security Alert" and that the
certificate for the website is expired but it is from a
trusted web site. Then it asks me to press either yes or
no to continue or to view the certificate.

How can I get rid of this message from popping up
everytime I go to a new web site?

Stef,

I don't think that YOU can get rid of the message. You're connecting to
a website, whose server certificate (not yours) has apparently expired.
When you connect to them using SSL/HTTPS, you're going to get that popup
unless the website gets an update server certificate.

Obviously, your computer thinks that the certificate has expired.

The way it does this is to take the date listed in the certificate (which is
sent from the server), and compare it against the date that your computer
thinks it is.

The obvious first step, then, is to verify that your computer is set to the
correct time and date. Particularly, check the year.
