iis security : IIS 6 Basic Authentication Changes??????

Hi:

I have, what I hope, is a simple problem that is driving
me crazy.

I have an NT 4 domain structure that trusts (two way)
with a Win2k3 domain. Under IIS 4 and IIS 5, one could
configure Basic Authentication's DefaultLogonDomain with
a "\". This setting would cause the client to look at the
local machine, and then seach the domains it knows about
for a user account. Its a nice, little documented feature
that I often use.

I cant, for some reason get this to work in IIS 6. IS it
still supported??

Thanks
