Application Pool Identity BMS

iis security: Hi

I try to run my web service under an Application Pool with a specific identity.

I created a Windows group for that identity and gave that group full access to the web service directory. The group has also the local security privilege to logon as batch.

When I try to connect to the web service I get the Service Unavailable error (since the Application Pool is disabled automatically after a few trials.

The event log has the following messag

A process serving application pool 'BL1' terminated unexpectedly. The process id was '3392'. The process exit code was '0xffffffff'

If I add my identity to the Administrators group, eveything works properly. I tried to give every single local security privilege to my original group, but it does not make any difference (still does not work)

I understand it is a security issue (since it works with the Administrators group) but do not know what it is

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks for the suggestion, I have searched on IIS_WPG as well and come up with the web document below, which seems to answer my question

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/standard/proddocs/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/standard/proddocs/en-us/sec_acc_wpenable.as

Try putting it into the IIS_WPG group
