Hi,

I am just 1 hr old using IIS 6.0. I am trying to create one virtual
directory, which can be created easily. But when I try to access it using
http://localhost/MyWebService/Default.aspx. It shows me 404 - File Not Found
Error.
To make it run, what do I have to do?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Did you give that directory execute access in the IIS Manager?

No.
Actually I have two machines having 2003 Server. In one machine the settings
are defined as follows:
Identity property of Application Pools is "Network Service". Though Identity
property of "DefaultAppPool" and "MyAppPool" is pre-defined set to "Network
Service" and configured to ".\NewUser" with valid password. These settings
work if I log as domain/local user.

While having the same settings in another machine, giving me problems like
Service Unavailable, Internal SOAP processing, View state is invalid etc. I
dont know what is wrong in the settings. This is not working for any user,
neither domain nor local.

Can you put on some light on it?

Regards,
Atul

Hi,

That's a different problem so I would suggest starting a new thread

To get your ASP.NET files to work you'll need ASP.NET enabled AND execute
access to the directory using the IIS Manager
