iis security : IIS files on different partition?

I'm serving a small personal site to learn about all that goes into it
Especially the security part.
I'm running IIS 5.1 on XP Pro. Fully updated. Passwords for BIO
access, boot and all user accounts. Norton Internet Security 2004 an
NAT behind a linksys router.

I know there's alot more to securing IIS than the above but would i
help to keep certain files and folders, say inetpub\wwwroot, on its ow
partition?

Thanks, there's much to learn.

Hi,

It won't hurt - but hosting on an XP machine limits you to 10 simultaneous
connections (that includes images, and IE by default uses 2 per domain) so
your site will go down pretty quickly once the 6th user tries connecting
