Internet explorer problem

I'm not sure I'm even in the right place to ask
this...but here goes...when I load the internet explorer,
some type of ad/search (http://bestsearch.cc/1001/) takes
over the home page. Even when I change it...it goes back
when I reboot. How do I get rid of this??? any ideas?? ... more >>

I have a IIS 5.0 with a FTP site.
When users connect to the FTP site is required a password to gain access to the folders.
But I know that this user password is sent in clear text to the server. Is there a way to encrypt it to improve secure on my FTP site ?... more >>

I have a new IIS 6.0 web server running in Worker Process Isolation Mode.
There are about 150 ASP apps distributed among 12 application pools.

I'm using an asp page to collect logon informations (user name and password) to gain access into my system. we are having a strange thing here:
we use win2003 with iis6 and have a shared folder to a win2000 machine. this
shared folder is made a virtual directory under our website. in this folder
we have a self extracting .zip file as .exe.

The server is running IIS 6.0, has the WS2k3 f/w enabled and is protected by

Something happened to my Exchange server over the weekend that caused
a crash (nothing logged) and upon startup my IIS is failing with Event
ID 115 (Service could not bind instance 1). This error is logged for

We are running a w2k webserver, everytime the server is rebooted mstask.exe
runs on port 80 which will not allow the website to restart. I have to us a
tcp viewer and end the process of mstask.exe. I can't see what is calling
mstask on start up to run on port 80. Any suggestions?
