iis security : Is SSL Certificate info stored on Client somewhere?

Back in June, I visited a web site and engaged in several form
submissions that the server operator now says were encrypted (even
though, at the time, I never saw the "lock" symbol in my browser nor
was it evidently using an "https" prefix).

My question is this...

If, in fact, some portions of the interaction were secured, sould not
there be some record of the server's SSL certificate on my client
computer... in a history file or something?

If you want to reply to me directly, you can take out the .google from
my e-mail address (the address with the .google goes directly to
trash).

Thanks

No, I do not think so. The browser history records the URLs you have
visited - not server certificates.

If you are running Windows XP/2000 you can do:
Start -> Run -> certmgr.msc
to load the Certificate Manager snapin pointing to your local user account,
and view the certificates stored for your user account. Unless you manually
added the server's certificate to the store, I don't think you'll find
anything.
