iis security : Installing Server Cert after request deleted NOT WORKING in IIS6

The instructions to install a server cert after a pending request is
accidentally deleted (details here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;329508 ) does not
work for IIS 6. For some reason, the original restored request does not
associate with the installed cert, so, while I can assign the cert to a site,
the cert does not show that there is a private key associated with it, and
the server will not serve the site. Is there another technique for IIS 6?

TIA,

Hi Berry,

Since the original pending request is removed, we will have to resend one
request for one certificate. This is to say, we will need to finish the
request following up the wizard. If the wizard request procedure is broken,
there is no way for us to fix it. So a 2nd request is required.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further question on this
matter.
