iis security: Is it possible to recreate the Anonymous_User group in Win2k3 that
would have existed had I upgraded from Windows 2000?

I just want to share a printer over classic Windows networking to
Windows 2000 guests without having them encounter the "Login:" box &
have to enter "Guest" and no password each time. Of course, the Guest
account is on, and I have modified the machine's Local Security Policy
to allow anonymous users to see the network shares on the machine.

Basically, I want all anonymous users on my LAN to map to the Guest
account automatically.

IIS anonymous access still works OK.

Why don't you just synchronize user accounts on all the machines so that you
do not need to do anything with the anonymous user?

Any kind of account synchronization is overkill for a LAN with 5 users
and a printer. I still would just like to know how to open
anonymous-level access to Guest shares in the Windows 2003 Server.

I can always upgrade from 2000 Server if that's the only option.
