iis security : Security while publishing an website in Frontpage

I have had a frustrating day setting up IIS 6 with Frontpage Server
extensions on my hope PC which runs Win XP Pro. Now when I try and publish
using Frontpage or Sharepoint services I cannot seem to publish due to not
knowing what username/password I am supposed to use. So the question is
either:

How do I find out the correct username and password for my website?
or
How can I set the username/password for the website?

Run the Sharepoint Admin option in Administrative tools.
Click on your Virtual Server (Default Website), then manage
the Users and grant authorship to a non-admin account.

Now I looked at this Sharepoint thing. It is not under my Admin Options. I
have tried to download and install it, but it says that my PC is not running
Windows Server 2003. Is there another version I can download?

Then perhaps, contrary to indications in your initial posting,
the FrontPage Server Extensions (FPSE) are not installed.
In the IIS mgmt interface, if you right-click to get the context
menu on the website or subweb within, do you see FPSE
related selections ? If not then the web is not FPSE extended.
