Hi,

How are you all?

I need information regarding SSL using IIS5.0 Server. I got the CA
certificate and i want to setup the SSL connection to my Virtual
Directory. Please note that if i assign this certificate to the Web
Site then it's enabling the Virtual Directory's "Server Certificate"
button in the "Directory Security" tab.

But my problem is i don't want to install this certificate on total Web
Site. I need only to work with a particular virtual directory. If
possible in that Virtual Directory i need to have SSL for few files.

So, my questions are like this:-

1) Can we make SSL or Secure connections to a particular virtual
directory instead of total Web site?

2) If we can do the above, can we assign only few pages under the SSL
connection in that VD?

Please help.. me.. regarding this issues?

SSL cert bind to website not virtual directory.
1) after the cert is installed on the website, you can control at what
directories or files to be SSL'ed
use the directory or file security property to set that.

2) see above. you have fine control from directory to file level.
