iis security : Default domain Windows integrated authentication

Hey all,

I'm currently about to deploy a Sharepoint 2007 website (obviously on a
Windows 2003 Server - IIS 6.0), and was wondering if it was possible to
change the login prompt default domain.
Right now the prompt defaults to the domain name of the webserver, but all
users actually come from another domain. Is it possible to change this, or at
least make it slightly more convenient?

Thanks,

Integrated Authentication protocol does not allow default domains, so
there is nothing you or IIS can do.

However, you shouldn't be seeing that dialog with Integrated
Authentication because the browser should auto-login with the username
and domain -- unless you configure otherwise.

David,

I figured as much. However the customer insists on integrated
authentication, even though 90% of the users won't be logged into the domain
when they try to look up the site, so login always fails once before I see
the dialog.

Thanks though, I like to see my suspicions confirmed before I tell someone
it can't be done.
