Hello. I'm looking for some help on deciphering IIS Metabase Event messages
4500 thru 4512. I was hoping to get some detailed definitions for each of
these. The info I got from the Microsoft site is very generalized. We are
trying to find out what event triggers these messages so we can know who and
what caused these events. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx, Tony

Hi,

What information, specifically, do you need? The events are documented here:
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/a144c790-b977-4308-a808-18911710392e1033.mspx?mfr=true

For example, event 4505 occurs when someone updates an existing metabase key
(i.e. "sets" a new value). The old and new values for the key are recorded
in the event:

Cheers
Ken
