Hi All,

I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with XAMPP and IIS installed. I
am in the process of getting rid of XAMPP but the old PHP web
application has to run until my new .Net 2.0 is done. I have enabled
anonymous access in IIS 5, Integrated Windows authentication checked.
Everything I go to the IP address http:192.168.2.251:8888, the network
login widows pop up. What do I need to do to get allow anonymous
acess?
Please help!

Hi,

Make sure that the account that is 'configured' for anonymous access (e.g.
IUSR_xxxx) has read access on the files (NTFS) you are accessing.

Peter

Hi Peter,
Thanks for writing, I double checked the access rights, IUSR does have
read access to the folder. Any other idea?

Look at the iis log ? which request prompt for login ? 401.x ?
get filemon to trace as well.

What browser are you using ?
IF IE ,check if your site is in the 'trusted sites' ande the properties for
'trusted sites' are correct ('Automatic logon').

Peter
