Hello:

When will Microsoft's FTP.EXE and Internet Explorer support FTP over SSL
(FTPS) as it is implemented in IIS7?

Also, are there any other FTPS clients besides the following that anyone
knows of?

SmartFTP (www.smartftp.com)
FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/)
Moveit Freely (http://www.standardnetworks.com/moveitfreely/)
CoreFTP (www.coreftp.com)

Thanks!

Thanks Pablo, but I'm interested in the client-side applications available.

IE7 and the FTP.EXE client that comes with Vista+SP1/2008 do not support SSL
with FTP.

Thx

IIS7 implements FTP over SSL.
You have to not intall the FTP Service in the role of IIS7 and intall the
new FTP that u can download form here:

I hope Pablo's reply didn't redirect people away from this question: It's
about the *client*-side FTPS apps in Windows, not IIS. It's rather strange
that IIS7 supports FTPS but there are no FTPS clients from Microsoft...yet.

Anyone know when any of the Windows apps will get upgraded to support FTPS
natively? Is this intended for the next Vista service pack?

Thanks!
