iis smtp nntp : Send Mails over Dial-up?

Hi,

I want to reach my customers by sending them a newsletter once and a while.
On my SQL-Server 2000 (Win2k Server) I've installed an XProc to send e-mails
via SMTP service. This way I can handle e-mail addresses from an SQL table.

My problem: While this works on my webserver I am not able to perform this
from my local development server (same configuration, but using Dial-up to
connect to the Internet). My mails stay in the Queue folder and after a
while they fail.

I've already added my provider's SMTP host as smart host, otherwise the
mails would fail immediately. But actually I did this without any notion of
that parameter....

Your help is quite appreciated.

TIA,
Axel Dahmen

Its a dialup so obviously youll run into problems.....try dialing up b4
