Chris,
I have had this problem too. On a windows2003 server, but i think that does
not make much difference.
What i finaly did is that i have written a program, reading the messages as
textfiles. From the messages the rows with the message-id , the path, the
xref and the NNTP-Posting-Host.
After that i was able (the program does did) to repost the messages to the
other server.
This went pretty well. All messages reamined the thread where the were in,
but not always the complete threadlevel was restored.
Anyway, the result was good enough for me. I did not try further, but
perhaps if the message-id was not removed, the threadstructure was better
recoverd.
regards,
Erik
