Is there any way to encrypt POP3 data with the standard POP3 server?
Currently use email and perform file transfers internally on the LAN, plus

I set up SMTP to accept SPA. I read that when SMTP is set to use SPA, the
POP3 Server is automatically setup to use it, also.
But, when I use Encrypted Password File authentication, the SPA option for
POP3 disappears. Since the above mentioned docs did not address this, I take

I have been experiencing a similiar problem.
I have an EX2K server which is meant to forward emails to the EX2K server of
our holding company. On an intermittent basis certain emails are refused.

I'm using WinXP prof SP2.
I've installed IIS without SMTP. Then I installed VS.NET. No I would like to
add the SMTP service.
I used the normal procedure to add Windows functionality: via Add/Remove

My email service was working fine until yesterday. Without any warning or
error messages none of my email addresses could recieve emails . I am able to
send out emails to anyone but cannot recieve them from anyone or myself. does

The smpt form the iis is so configured, that all hardbounces will be saved
at the inbox directory.
But: Not one softbounce does! I don't know why!

When the IIS server connects using a adsl router, I can receive e-mails but
it will not send, they stay in the queue folder. If I use outlook to send
directly using the same outgoing server through the router this works.

I uninstalled IIS and reinstalled it but know my exchange 2000 server is not
working. My event logs under application logs leave me event id 9175 Mapi
Session. I am in need of more information as to where to look for my
problems any information would be helpfull.
