iis smtp nntp: I am using SMTP under IIS5 to relay mail to Exchange Server 5.5 System.
On IIS Relay end, I'm running Win2K Server + SP4. On Exchange 5.5 end, I am
running NT4 Server + SP6 and Exchange 5.5 with latest SP.

On the ES5.5 receiving end, I am getting MSExchangeIMC Event 4051 "A timeout
occurred while trying to receive mail from <Relay Server> and while waiting
for the message body." The SMTP protocol log shows all the message body was
received, but for some reason it does not recognize the end of the body and
eventually must timeout the session so the sending end sees a dropped
connection.

On the IIS sending end, I am getting SMTPSVC Event 4000 "Message delivery to
the remote domain '<Exchange Server>' failed for the following reason: The
connection was dropped by the remote host.

I have been collecting .eml files that are hanging up, but can't see any
real pattern.
Not all files hang up, only a few, but when they do they stay in the queue
retrying until I kill the file and send it manually.

I made the change documented in

problem still occurs.

On the IIS side, the remote domain is configured with "forward all mail to
smart host" and the Exchange Server's IP address is listed in brackets.

Do you fix it I can`t. Can you help me? Thank you in advance
