IIS Virtual SMTP Server accepts outgoing mail but doesn't forward it??

I intsalled SMTP on XP Pro and configure Outlook client. The mail is
accepted but sits in the ./Queue folder forever. What am I missing
here?

I've setup a the SMTP service under IIS but when I tried to do the outbound
email testing. I receive the "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for aaa@ffg.com"

Hey all,
Is there a way i can manage the outband traffic bandwidth of an smtp
server(Not Exchange Server) so when we deliver 20,000 mails of 100KB each it
wont block our
1 MB Upload bandwidth?
Is it possible to control it without expensive hardware and without messing
with Qos?

We currently have three SMTP Servers in our network, each server serving
it's own websites/applications.
A strange hop of email is occuring within the servers, which i cannot find

We have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack=20
3 and IIS 5. We have hosted an application which sends=20

I have a windows server with SMTP set up to relay several
hundred domains to a single linux email server. The
windows server receives around 2000 messages per hour -
but only delivers about 50 messages per hour. The queue
keeps growing by close to 1500 messages per hour! Its

Hello,
Running IIS 6, using smtp services as a spamgateway. Any bounces etc come
in the form of postmaster@machinename.
How can I change this to a FQDN?
