Multiple rows in log file

Hi! After using WinNT 4 and IIS 4 for many years we finally upgraded to Win2003 and IIS 6. We discovered that the SMTP log file writes multiple rows for each mail, which in turn makes the log files grow at extreme speed. Is there anyway we can get back to the old way of one row/mail? I have a 4500 Proliant Server running Win2K Server that I use as a testing/development server for web apps. I run this at my home on a small LAN.
