What is going on? I am trying to send mail through smtp through IIS 5.
I'm very new to this crap but I can't send mail through telnet or smtp
IIS keeps the mail in the queue folder and just sits there.. It's usin
port 25 and port 25 is open because I can connect to it through telnet.

Any ideas? Do I have to setup a domain for this? I just want to sen
outgoing mail .. I am basically going to host my own web pages an
have my www.domainname.com redirect to my home server which will be o
all the time and serve web pages.. and once someone registers on m
page I will send them a confirmation email.. thus where my smt
outgoing email comes into play.. I've searched all over google for
days and there hasn't been anything helpful. Please help me!

Thanks,
Rei

Invalid email will get stuck in the queue, as well as email for which
the destination cannot be determined. Often DNS is at fault. Check
the NDR's if any, and check the SMTP logs.
