iis smtp nntp:
Hi,

- We've recently we switched the ISP.
- We've QMail running on Linux, IIS 6.0/SMTP on Windows 2K3.
- We use no firewall, anti virus s/w and no ports are blocked.
- We're able to send AND receive emails from everywhere outside our
network.
- When emails are sent using CDO.Message from a webpage hosted on our
network, it sends to any domain expect to those domains that are hosted
on our own network on the Qmail/Linux.
- A & MX resolves fine.
- Event Log shows "Connection was dropped by the remote host" and it
shows the MX record IP address, which also indicates proper DNS
resolution.
- Able to send emails using Telnet directly to our domains.
- SMTPDiag results came clean.
- BUT, emails sent from CDO.Message won't reach all domains that are
hosted on our own network, but it sends to any domain outside our
network.
- All those emails are stuck on "Queue" folder and goes to "Badmail" as
per the configured time.

If there are any places to check, please let me know.
Any directions are highly appreciated.

Message delivery to the host 'NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN' failed while delivering
to
the remote domain 'xxxx.com' for the following reason: The
connection was dropped by the remote host.

Thank You,
- Prasad

Hi,

This issue has been resolved.

Qmail, the receiving end mail server, seems to be very strict on the
CR&LF characters which is not being generated properly by CDO.Message.
Added fixcrio to qmail to fix the lazy emails sent by Microsoft SMTP.
