Hello...
I have an VB Script that uses CDONTS to create emails. This is working
happily and placing the emails in the Inetpub\mailroot\Pickup folder.
Is there anything I can use that will allow me to read the emails that end
up in the Inetpub\mailroot\Drop folder?
The reason is that I want to demonstrate our product on a standalone Windows
XP Pro machine and I cannot get Outlook Express to 'connect' to localhost or
127.0.0.1 etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks.

Outlook needs a POP or MAPI server, which XP doesn't have. Either
install a third party one, or simply open the files in the pickup
folder in Notepad.

If you put a desktop shortcut to the folder and open the folder after
the message is generared and bofr it is move you cn see the messages on
that folder. I thnk you will see for each mesaage 2 fiels with the same
name excpt the exnsion. if you click on the one with .eml extention it
wil open in outlook expres. If you disable/diconnet the internet
connection the mesages will be moved to aiffrent folder (queue ?) to try
to deliver later.
