spam settings nudge

iis smtp nntp: hi, we have justed developed a new portal whereby we are able to send email
text newsletters via the smtp to APPROVED email addresses collected via our
own website.

we are using cdo and normal smtp settings, but the emails seem to be
automatically tagged as spam - therefore not arriving at the email addresses.

are there any server settings that we are able to change to stop this? or do
we need jmail or another email component?

Best guess is you use a dynamic IP or have no reverse DNS entries.
Both get you tagged as SPAM now days.

What tagges your emails as spam? There are many reasons for an email to be
tagges as spam. It can be either your server settings (dynamic IP, the IP
is in a range of IPs that are blacklisted, no reverse DNS etc.), but the
reason can also be that your message actually looks like spam.

Without investigating why your emails are tagges as spam, there is very
little you can do. Contact remote SMTP administrators and ask them why
your email is blocked as spam. Ask what anti-spam software they use.

This has nothing to do with the email component you use.
