iis smtp nntp : Email in queue and delayed for delivery

Whenever I send email from my Windows SMTP server, it is not delivered
immediately, some will be delivered after 5 to 15 minutes, some will be
delivered after 1 day. Does anybody know the reasons? I checked the DNS
server, it seems that the dns name resolution ok, it can solve the name
resolution on different foreign domain name.

I have three DNS servers, those are Active Directory integrated dns server,
and my SMTP server is one of those.

Best regards

Try checking delivery in the SMTP server's properties. Set them to
lower values (shorter times) and see what happens. When I see delivery
issues such as this, it is usually a transient error causing the
message to be re-queued for a later delivery.
