iis smtp nntp: Hello,

I am running IIS 6.0 on a Win 2003 Standard with sp1 machine. This machine
is set up to run my websites. I have smtp service installed. My email
server is at a different location. I have been trying to send email from
the websites (contact forms), but it all ways ends up in the badmail folder.
The error codes there are 5.3.5 and 5.4.0. I have tried to configure
several ways remote fqdn, smart host nothing has worked. What is the
problem and were can I find IIS SMTP error codes?

You're not relaying, you're not using a smart host and your mail
server isn't on another system. SMTP is a program used to transfer
mail. It takes your message, looks up the destination domain's MX
record and sends it there. All you need is proper name resolution and
a route to the destination on port 25.
