Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had somewhere to point me to, or information
to share, on the possibility of clustering SMTP service without
exchange?

Thanks!

Rob.

I'm not sure that clustering SMTP is a supported configuration.

Why are you trying to cluster SMTP virtual server?
Are you using the SMTP virtual server primarily for sending mail? receiving
mail? Both?

Cheers
Ken

Relaying actually.

And why do you need a cluster for that? I think the question I am asking is
"what are you trying to achieve"?

Cheers

I am looking for fail over.

Just setup NLB and load balance port 25. You will achieve failover that way
and it isn't as overkill as full blown clustering would be in this case.
