iis smtp nntp:
Hi,
We are running Windows 2003 server SP1 with ISA 2004 SP2 as our edge
firewall, this is also running IIS6/SMTP as a relay, which then sends email
to our internal mail server, this is running Windows 2003 Server SP1 &
Exchange 2003 SP2.
Yesterday I placed an order for some memory with Crucial, in the past I've
always received an order receipt by email, after an hour non arrived, so I
started to get a little worried. I did some searching around, looking at
SMTP & ISA logs, and found that the email had actually come in, but had been
returned with an NDR. I setup our SMTP server to send copies of NDRs to my
email address, and placed another order, this time watching our SMTP queue,
when the email came in, I took a copy of it, before it could be processed,
so I could try and find out what was wrong. Again, I never received the
email, but this time I got an NDR report, shown below.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Ben on 30/05/2006 16:46
The message contains a content type that is not supported
<isa2004 #5.6.1 smtp;554 5.6.1 Body type not supported by Remote
Host>
This seems to be saying that the body content type is not supported,
however, when I open the message I copied, in notepad, the header (shown
below) shows the content type as text/plain, and we are receiving other
emails that are text/plain. I assume when it says 'Body type not supported
by Remote Host' it considers our Exchange server the remote host?

Anyone know how to solve this? I'm sure I've received email from Crucial in
the past.
Cheers
