iis smtp nntp:
Hi all

I am using Windows XP. I have configured the Default Virtual SMTP Server
(IIS v5.1) using Windows login credentials to send email through my
computer. Although the email is sent successfully in Outlook Express and is
passed through firewall, but it never reaches in my Yahoo email box. I have
also set my Yahoo account to collect Bulk mail to check whether it arrives
in the Bulk mail folder. Previously I didn't face such problem when I was
using the SMTP server of my cable ISP.

Following is the configuration of the Default Virtual SMTP Server on my
computer:

- General Tab
IP Address - (All unassigned)
Enable logging (checked)

- Access
- Authentication
Anonymous access (unchecked)
Basic Authentication (unchecked)
Integrated Windows Authentication (checked)

- Security
Operators - Administrators (default group added)

I have not changed any other settings. I have placed the name of my computer
in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) in Server section of Email accounts in Outlook
Express 6. I have also checked My server requires authentication and placed
my Computername\userid and password in Settings of this subsection. My
Windows userid is a member of the Windows Administrators group.

Please let me know if I making any errors in configuring the Default Virtual
SMTP Server or anywher else. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Many
thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Is this a home computer ? Usually ISP's today block the use of private smtp
servers because of spam, they force you to use their own smtp server which
is the only one allowed.
