iis smtp nntp:
Hi,
I am using CDO SYS to send emails from a VB client where i dont have SMTP
service installed on this server but it is on network where a remote Mail
server is accessible.
The problem i am facing is whenever i run the code i get following error.
Can anyone please help me out on this:
Using port 25.

"Run-time error (80040211)
The message could not be sent to the SMTP server. The transport error code
was 0x800ccc15. The server response was not available"

Thanks,
Adeel

I managed to resolve the problem but now another issue arises:
Whenever i provide an external To address i get the message
"Unable to relay for abc@hotmail.com"
I found a post on a newsgroup about this problem that I have to allow the
server on my exchange relay list.
Which server it is mentioned? Hotmail or my webserver. What are the risks of
doing so.
Anyone?

it is saying the remote mail server don't allow you to relax the hotmail
msgs...
check with the remote mail admin and see how could you relay the
msgs.......or is it allow at all.
