Does it bounce the message to the envelope from address?

Thank you,
Chris

Not bounces, rejections (or else you wouldn't have a question).

The rejection of an outbound message during the SMTP conversation with
a remote MX will result in an NDR (bounce) message being sent from
postmaster@example.com, where example.com is the Default (Local)
Domain in IIS.

This is basic, across-the-board SMTP behavior.

Of course, per the SMTP RFCs.
