iis smtp nntp:
I am having issues using Windows 2000 server as a front end SMTP server. It
relays all mail to my internal exchange 2000 server. I am constantly getting
slammed by spammers using illegit email addresses, therefore I am getting
tons of postmaster ndr emails. This is churning up cycles on my front end
server. Is there a way to delete the undeliverable postmaster emails thru a
script or something? Any other ways of handling with my current
configuration?

Thanks,

Unfortunately this issue gets ignored here for some reason.
I had to type a bogus email address in the non delivery report option on the
messages page.
Clearing it didn't work so I typed in Stopit and now I don't get any more
messages.
I got slammed with spam as soon as I started the SMTP server.

There has been discussion on the MSExchange forum about this - it's common
but not a lot can be done about it.

There is a product called ORF that can help eliminate this issue. I'm not
aware of any MS product although they recently purchased some 3rd party mail
plug-in, I think those are for exchange only.
