I have a client running SBS 2003 who has recently relocated offices. Low and
behold the telco didn't connect the ADSL line on time so we are using dialup
until they fix that up.
The problem is that the ISP blocks port 25 on dialup so we have to set the

I am using vanilla IIS 6 SMTP on Server 2003. I am not using Active
Directory, nor am I using Exchange.
How can I configure the "from" address used in non-delivery reports? It is
currently using "postmaster@machine-name", but I'd like it to reflect the

I just started using IIS 6.0 for routing of my internet mail. All mail is
routing is fine.
When I am using dnsreport.com for my domain (rlshospital.org), I am getting
the following error message:
ERROR: I could not complete a connection to any of your mailservers!

Outlook 2003 with SMTP Server (Win2003) not doing the windows authentication

I've got a Windows 2003 SMTP server with POP3 service. It was stable
and in use for a long time with Outlook 2000. I used the "Use Secure
Password Authentication" feature in OL2K, and I never had to store the
password in Outlook it always used my Windows login credentials. It

I am currently using our ISP's SMTP Smart Host for sending all email traffic
from our Exchange Server 2003 SP2 to the outside world.
I have followed the Microsoft article KB317327 but this does not seem to

I wonder if anyone can help me figure out why SMTP outgoing mail fails on IIS
6.0 installed on Windows 2003 Server.

I made a stupid mistakes: I deleted the mailroot folder and the folders
