iis smtp nntp : SMTP QUE ON IIS6

hi,

i'm using the smtp service on iis6 to send out daily newslwtters and its
working fine, however some emails are left in the queue due to incorrect
email addresses. What is the best way to delete them as they can't be deleted
on the fly as iis6 is using it.

I have tried stopping the smtp service but to no avail, will i have to stop
all services related to iis6 before i can delete from the que?

If the recipient address is invalid or unreachable is incorrect, the
sender should receive a DSN upon hard failures or message expiry.

If you need to pluck mail items out of the queue before they expire, then
your queue lifetime is too long. There shouldn't be any need, in normal
operation, to delete queue objects that *you* submitted.
