iis smtp nntp:
Hello,

We're running IIS 5 on a Windows 2000 file server that hosts our intranet
and copies of multiple websites that we use for testing locally. Each of the
websites is simply a sub-directory off of the default website (intranet) as
there is no need to have domains or sites setup for each one.

We've got a Windows 2003 Active Directory setup (Full Windows 2003
functionality level) w/ DNS hosting "corp.domain.com" and Exchange 2003
processing mail for our main domain (domain.com as well as corp.domain.com).

While the intranet site and FTP site are and have been running great, I
installed the SMTP service and locked it down to the local subnet for
testing. I configured it to use LDAP routing (because we use AD), and
configured it to use our exchange server as a smart host but to attempt to
send directly, with a Masquerade domain of "corp.domain.com". The FQDN of
the server is the server's hostname "host.corp.domain.com"

After restarting the IIS services, the "Default SMTP Virtual Server" shows
up with an "(Unknown)" after the "Default SMTP Virtual Server" in IIS mmc.
The domain listed is the local default "host.corp.domain.com".

Of course, you can imagine that the server does not process mail. Anyone
have any suggestions on how to fix?

Sorry for the double post. The newsgroups were not showing this original
post (until today) and I posted the above to help get my question answered.

If any mods read this, please feel free to delete this post.
