Dan,

You are looking for an imaging software that is capable of Scanning, OCR'ing
(converting sections of the image to text) and inserting the verified
information into respective fields within the database. I suggest that you
take a look at "Saperion" from www.enara.ca.

The product can handle this and can be expanded in the future based on your
needs. I would not recommend going to a pure imaging product as your needs
might change and you might be stuck with having to integrate multiple
systems.

Let me know if you need any more info or if you have any specific questions.

Does anyone know of any Windows software to scan the same paper document and
enter the results to an SQL Server database?

We have a Photocopier machine that can automatically scan several documents
at a time and email them to an email address. We'd like to scan in an
assessment form that rates a person from 1-10 on punctuality, appearance,
efficiency, willingness and professionalism, and then submit the values to
an SQL 2000 database.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Dan Williams.

LaserFiche can do this. Sounds like some forms recognition is
needed... LaserFiche can capture the images, OCR each region of the
form and place them in a database. See
