sql server (alternate) : DTS text file export missing records

Hello,

We have a query which returns ~2.8 million rows. This same query is
used in a DTS package, which exports to a text file. The number of
rows in this text file, however, is ~2.7 million rows (I'm rounding of
course.) So a good chunk of data vanished in the export it appears.

Using SQL Server 7.0 on Windows 2000.

Anyone see bugs w/ DTS text exports for very large amounts of data?

I have used DTS to export bigger tables and never had any problems.

You could try bcp to see how many rows it extracts.

Is there any pattern to the rows that it does not extract, eg ones
near the end, those with a particlar value (perhaps strings containing
