Win2000 Platform?? -- sql server (alternate)

Hi,

I'm planning to purchase Sql Server2000 St. Edt. and install it on
windows 2000 server machine. I would like to know please if it is
advisable to work on the same machine that host both servers or should
I work on a separate one???

I'm not sure that I understand your question completely - are you asking if
you should work physically at the server, logged in locally? You can install
the SQL Server client tools on a workstation and do everything from there,
so there's usually no need to log into the server locally unless you
want/need to for some other reason.
