Whats the difference between sql 7.0 and sql 2000?

Hi

The differences between SQL 7 and 2000 are documented the SQL 2000 Books
online which you can download. As far as wasting your time will depend on
why you are learning it and if you need to know how it works as opposed to
SQL 2000. Learning SQL 7 will have some retained value if you move to SQL
2000 or 2005.

"Waste of time" would be going too far, but since SQL2000 has been
out for over four years, and SQL2005 coming out next year, only learning
SQL 7 is going to make your options more limited.
