Is it that you want to use something like Enterprise Manager but
cannot afford to buy a version of SQL Server which contains it and are
therefore looking for a substitute?
Well you don't eally have to look for a substitute if you are prepared
to spend a very modest amount.
A cheap option is to buy a book which contains a trial (time limited
version} of SQL Server. Many introductory books have this disk.
From the trial disk you can install just Enterprise Manager and you
will find that this tool is not time limited.
Not free but not expensive either. Yyou appear to g et a full version
of Enterprise Manager for the price of a book, you migh even find the
book discounted!
